Normain Launches API

The Normain API is here. You can now run Normain's analysis directly from your own software. Set up a secure space for your documents, push them in, run your complex analyses across them to get back a structured, sourced result your systems can use.

We are rolling it out to select customers now. Reach out to the sales team to get access.

End-to-end workflows are now live on Normain

This is the biggest leap Extractional AI has taken since we built the engine itself.

A project is now the top-level home for your work in Normain. It can hold a single extraction, or a workflow: a sequence of multiple steps that runs end to end. Steps can be multiple extractions building on each other, file-input steps or deliverables generated directly from the results of earlier steps. Your existing extractions already live inside projects – nothing needs to be migrated.

Chat is now live on Normain

This is the biggest update we've shipped since our February launch.

Setting up an extraction used to take a few clicks. Now you can build it just by chatting. Tell the chat what you need in plain English, and it sets up the whole extraction for you.

GPT-5.5 is now powering Normain

GPT-5.5, OpenAI's most capable model, is now available on Normain. Expect faster extractions and sharper reasoning on complex documents, with the same source-grounded outputs and Trust Panel verification.

Create one-off data sources

You can now create data sources directly in Normain, no upload needed.

Right-click the data source panel inside any extraction, write or dictate your text, and save. The entry is instantly ready to reference across your extraction, like any uploaded file.

Useful for capturing context that doesn't come as a document: internal definitions, methodology notes, clarifications from clients, or anything else that usually lives in someone's head.

Export with sources references

Choose exactly how source references are formatted when you export an Extraction, so the output matches how you and your team work. Sources can also appear as footnotes directly alongside each insight.

Excel previews in the Trust Panel

You can now preview Excel files directly inside the Trust Panel, alongside PDFs. Verify the source behind any insight without leaving the platform — no downloading, no switching tabs.

Collaborate on Extractions

Teams can now work through Extractions together.

Assign insights to the right team member, validate against the Trust Panel, and approve or reject reviewed insights directly in the platform. Leave comments, track progress, and follow the full Extraction in real time.
